2022 - CURRENT STATUS - (UPDATED 14 January 2022)

GOOD NEWS .... at last!   South Africans are able to travel to Israel since 09 January 2022!

Covid-19 has certainly come to test us in March 2020, and without any warning we were all thrown into ‘disaster management’ like never before.   Thank you for all the kind messages of support. This period has been really tough for the travel industry in general, and in Stargate's world, especially with Israel and it's surrounding  Middle-Eastern countries, Europe and Oberammergau  in Germany, the impact of Covid had obvious repercussions on the planned travel arrangements which were put in place for 2020 and 2021.

Herewith CURRENT UPDATES surrounding some of our suppliers and popular travel destinations

ISRAEL:     Last updated 14 January 2022
Israel opened up for South African passport holders on 09 January 2022. The State of Israel has now also opened up its land borders for vaccinated international visitors.  Travellers were limited until now and allowed entrance only through the Tel Aviv International Airport.  International foreign visitors are now welcomed to enter Israel if they have received their second vaccine shot within the last six months, or if they received the booster shot at any time in the past.  We have good reason to expect the restrictions to continue to relax as we move forward
